AirAsia SANTAN Food Festival - Check Out The Latest SANTAN In-Flight Hot Meals From AirAsia!
I'm sure that many of us would cringe at the first thought of in-flight food because they aren't always known to taste the best. More importantly, we always view them as 'filler meals' during a flight before we get proper meals when we land at our destination.
AirAsia, too, had this in mind and thus, wanted to strive to create a more balanced and healthy range of in-flight meals for their customers to choose from! The latest SANTAN menu from AirAsia not only focuses on serving hearty cuisines by creating on-ground food creations on-board, they have also brought the wonderful flavours of Asean into SANTAN to create a unique food experience!
A few blogger friends and I were invited to the AirAsia headquarters in Kuala Lumpur last month for the AirAsia SANTAN Food Festival, and to check out what are some of the latest dishes on the menu!
As we stepped into the headquarters, we were pleasantly greeted with a massive event space with booths all set up for us to experience the meals at each station!
The SANTAN Food Festival was also attended by AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes!
Attendees took part in the Santan food tasting session and interactive activities, including a cooking demo of the Thai Green Curry with Rice meal by AirAsia Regional Manager of Group Inflight F&B Chef Calvin Soo, a performance by AirAsia X cabin crew, Assraf Nasir, and more!
These latest in-flight meals will include tantalising hot meals, kids meals, savoury snacks, healthier selections such as wraps and sandwiches and local desserts personalised to suit the preferences of guests travelling across AirAsia’s extensive route network.
Our favourite in-flight meals were the Thai Green Curry with Rice, Nasi Lemak as well as their Mango Sticky Rice dessert!
Other in-flight meal selections also include:
Nasi Dagang with Chicken Curry, Uncle's Chin Chicken Rice, Kamal's Mee Goreng Mamak, Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce, Roast Chicken with Cream Sauce, etc!
