"Wed Like A K-Star" - Korean-Inspired Wedding Showcase at W Singapore by The Louvre Bridal
Last week, I was given a chance to witness a spectacular Korean-inspired bridal showcase, put together by the people behind W Singapore Sentosa Cove, The Louvre Bridal, the first and only Korean Concept Bridal in Singapore and also supported by Korea Tourism Organization! The bridal showcase was held in a spectacular ballroom of W Singapore, adorned with exquisite chandeliers and orchid petal wall lights to enchant the crowd. Before the bridal showcase began, the wedding showcase featured talks and tips for brides-to-be, as well as Korean-inspired photo shoots and gown illusions for those who are interested in having their very own K-pop inspired wedding.
The wedding showcase featured a medley of stunning Korean-inspired wedding gowns that were accompanied by funky K-pop music to set the mood for the entire event. The show first started with a performance that uplifted the ambience of the entire show, featuring a group of ladies that danced upbeat Korean tunes in their adorable Korean cocktail dresses. And as the dance ended, romantic tunes started streaming in the ballroom to set the mood for the runway - the Timeless Elegance Episode 3 Korean Designer Collection Runway.
The runway first started with timeless and elegant pieces that would be perfect for brides to wear during their wedding ceremony. These pieces were mostly adorned with classy beads and embroidery details that were unlike most wedding gowns you would find at ubiquitous bridal stores.
There were also a lot of off-shoulder dresses with stunning back details that further accentuated the assets of the models. These dresses proved that you do not have to show off too much skin, and yet still be stylish.
This was one of my favorite gowns of the show, characterized by delicate lace details and beads that came with a romantic touch. Look at the gorgeous mermaid hem and the back details with a cutout of a heart shape - subtle, yet classy.
Other dresses that were showcased also included bold and dark colors that matched really well with the Asian skin tone - something which I feel is really important when it comes to gowns. One really important tip is to always look for something that matches well with your skin tone so that you do not look like you are drowning in the dress.
For guys, there was also showcase that featured a series of patterned suits and blazers. Even though these suits came in unconventional colors like navy blue or light blue, they still complemented the bridal gowns really well.
Another one of my favourites gowns from the collection! Check out the gorgeous embellishments in this baby blue piece! The gown is also accompanied with a sheer cape, attached to the shoulders for a more extravagant look - and also a nice twist from the usual trains at the back of the gowns. This was so princess-like, and I would totally love to wear this for my wedding in the future!
At the end of the show, the models reappeared with gorgeous baby breath blooms and flattering off-shoulder gowns, while the guys came out looking absolutely dapper with their checkered suits! Another reason why I really enjoyed the show was also because the models not only toured the stage but also came down to where the audiences were seated to let them have a better view of how the wedding gowns look like in person. I'm not sure about you, but I felt that that was one of the major plus points of the event because things can look really different up close and from afar.
And for brides-to-be, the key to your ideal wedding dress lies in all dem details!
Hahaha, I was also lucky enough to be chosen as one of the winners for the lucky draw!
At the end of the show, guests were also treated to canapes and sweets right outside the ballroom that also adhered to the Korean theme - serving dishes like Kimchi Fried Rice and Ginseng Chicken! We were so impressed by the spread of food that we just couldn't stop stuffing ourselves silly.

Thank you, The Louvre Bridal for having us!
Love,
Cassan
The pictures and view from their website made us excited to see it, so we booked an appointment and found that these guys do not treat you like just some paycheck. The manager and chef from Los angeles wedding venues were really amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe florist made my corsage for prom and it was stunningly beautiful!! They design Flowers NYC with great taste and love. Best florist in the city, it’s a small store at the corner, but all their designs are special.
