Beauty Review: Auolive Singapore Beauty Skincare + Launch Party

Last Saturday, a group of bloggers and I were treated to a lunch reception of the exclusive launch of Auolive, a premium multi-functional skincare brands in Singapore for the modern women. 

Being a modern woman, we are often caught in the dilemma of getting enough time to sleep and upkeeping a standard beauty regimen to make sure that our skincare is not compromised. The founder of Auolive, Clare Au too, was facing such a predicament especially during her years of venturing into an F&B business which saw her wasting quite a bit of precious time applying heaps and heaps of beauty products onto her face every night and waiting for them to dry. Therefore, Claire sought to find a solution to combat the problem of modern multi-tasking women and Auolive was conceived. Going by the slogan "Time waits for no one", Auolive believes that good skincare should never be a hassle!

During the event, we were treated to a spectacular lunch at Whitegrass restaurant, one of the latest establishments to step foot in the compounds of CHIJMES. The modern Australian restaurant is helmed by chef Sam Aisbett, who has honed his skills in an award winning restaurants like Quay in Sydney and was also a Senior Sous Chef at Tetsuya! I wouldn't go much into the meal as it'll defeat the purpose of this post, but I must say that every dish served was presented with finesse and the meal was pure decadence. 

Since Claire was down with a nasty sore throat that day, her mom, Lisa, took her place to share more about the skincare brand! It was heartening to hear the brand story of Auolive, and that it was conceived out of such a humble beginning and Claire's passion for making skincare an easier and fuss-free process for the all modern busy women out there with everything encapsulated in a bottle. 

Gone were the days of spending time over multiple steps in a skin care routine and emptying your wallet to buy many different skincare products for different beauty functions. With Auolive, it knows what you need and has successfully formulated a multi-functional skincare solution that fulfills all the essential beauty benefits in just a single bottle. The Auolive mission is to provide skincare solutions made from natural active ingredients that are safe, multi-functional, fuss-free and effective in maintaining beautiful skin for the busy multi-tasking woman! 

During the event, we also got to try out the beauty products! If you have noticed, all of the Auolive products are packaged beautifully with calligraphy letterings and catchy taglines printed on every bottle. They even have a small coloring portions on the boxes so that you can lay them flat out and color your hearts away without having to spend your moolah on Secret Garden coloring books!

Review: 

What I really like about the packaging is that unlike usual skincare products, Auolive adopts a twist cap concept which prevents any wastage of products! Now, you don't have to worry about where you left the caps or whether any products have gotten itself on the caps of your products which can save a ton of time and space!

All you have to do is twist and turn the top part of your Auolive product for the pump dispenser to emerge!

The Eyes Lifter helps to target imperfections and signs of aging around the eyes! Upon pumping it out, the Eyes Lifter dispenses a water based product which is fragrance-free. This product can help you to energize, lift, hydrate and enhance your eye contour. It can also help to reduce eye wrinkles, soften fine lines, discolouration and dark eye circles! 

Application: 

Every morning & night after cleansing gently applies a small amount of serum to the eye contour area with clean fingertips. Smooth the product at the eye bag area with a gentle outwards uplifting movement until absorbed. Avoid getting too close to the eyes.

Personally, I felt that this product was rather easy for me to blend out and I liked that it wasn't oily nor did it ball up when applied. I only squeezed an amount equivalent to the size of a pea before blending it out with my fingers! 

2) Night Booster

(S$138 for 30ml)

The Night Booster is packed with more than 80% of pure concentrated Marine collagen, this night treatment is completed with a natural emollient to penetrate into the skin readily like a serum for deep nourishment. It also has a unique self-remodelling feature creates an elastic and tightening veil, filling up the skin’s surface lines and promoting a lifted and more defined facial contour - incorporating 6 benefits into one product!

Application:

I only had to release a small pump of the night booster (a white translucent liquid) onto my palm before applying as I could easier spread that throughout the bottom half of my face. I also liked that it had a mild fragrance to the product (it's nonallergic) which allowed the scent to build over the nasty stench of my toner (I use Apple Cider Vinegar for my toner and it smells nasty). However, my only gripe is that S$138 might seem rather pricey for a 30ml bottle!

3) Radiance Revealer

(S$58 for 50ml)

The Radiance revealer is formulated with pomegranate, a superfruit that can be really beneficial for the skin. This superfruit exfoliating gel lifts dead skin cells and support skin’s renewal process,  revealing fresh radiance and hydrated softness for dull skin.

Instructions:

What I really loved about this product is how it produces a white liquid and balls up after rubbing it into my skin (refer the picture above)! We tried it on the back of our hands during the event and most of us were rather astonished by the results as we had just washed our hands before trying it on - only to realize that it was actually our dead skin cells! There is nothing more gratifying than witnessing the dirt being flushed out from our skin.
