Pita Pan Singapore - hearty vegetarian Mediterranean restaurant at MBS + Loco Singapore
I've always walked past Pita Pan whenever I'm near the premises of Marina Bay Sands but never once stepped foot into the restaurant because I haven't had the chance to. Last Sunday, since we had access to Loco's 1 for 1 offer, we decided to try out this quick-service Mediterranean restaurant for the very first time!
Loco is a mobile application where you can purchase various 1 for 1 deals. It is also a location-based app which informs you about the various deals which can be found near the places you are at, and also allows you to connect with your friends while you are at it! Other than food, they also have food, beauty, shopping and other offers available!
For more information about the app, you can visit:
They're also currently having a CNY campaign where you can stand a chance to win S$88 cash ang bao weekly when you hashtag #LOCOforHUAT in your food images and geotag the location in your Instagram pictures!
Since Pita Pan is located just along the Marina Bay Sands boardwalk, the restaurant is extremely noticeable! Plus, you can even sit at the alfresco dining area to take in the full view of the gorgeous boardwalk or just to people watch - your pick!
This dining restaurant boasts a couple of vegetarian Mediterranean dishes from the founder, Mrs Reena's personal vault of recipes, including Pita Breads, Falafels, Wraps, Mediterranean Salads, Soups and other Middle Eastern, vegetarian-inspired takeaway. Since they are also very well-known for their falafels, we opted for the 5 falafels full wrap and it was possibly the best decision made.
For those who are into DIY, you can also create your bespoke meals with the wholesome variety of ingredients for you to choose from!
The pita wrap was prepared with a medley of vegetables such as parsley, cabbages, pickles, bitter gourd, onions and five beautifully crafted falafel balls. For those who might not know, falafels are essentially nugget balls of mashed chickpeas - sounds dubious but are incredibly yummy!
It is then drenched with a delicious hummus sauce which was possibly our favourite part of the whole wrap. We enjoyed the pita wrap thoroughly though our only gripe was that it was a little hard to eat at first and we didn't know where to start from! Still, it was definitely worth the "struggle"! They even had a 1 for 1 for their falafels but we were too stuffed from the pita wrap to redeem that.
