Swiss Merchant Court's Christmas Log Cake Balls Are Here To Make The Season Merry And Bright!
In light of Christmas, Swiss Merchant Court has also kickstarted this season of festivities with their adorable signature Christmas Log Cake Balls, with swiss rolls packed in the cutest transparent spheres, topped with Christmas ornaments that are bound to make your hearts flutter. The log cakes come in a set of two - a Red Velvet Swiss Roll with Chocolate Mousse and a Pandan Swiss Roll with Coconut Cream!
I've dined at Ellenborough Market Cafe at Swiss Merchant Court before, and I feel that one of the best traits of the hotel is that they're really good at preparing local delights and elevating them into a dish with finesse. Their Christmas log cake balls were no exception, with the hotel presenting their rendition of the Western dessert with a local twist. I've also seen countless of Christmas Log Cakes on the web and on my Instagram feed, but nothing as adorable as these ones.
Red Velvet Swiss Roll with Chocolate Mousse
The Red Velvet Swiss Roll with Chocolate Mousse was a stunner. Prior to tasting it, I had to store it in my fridge for around 2-3 days as I was incredibly busy for the past week and I was really surprised that it was still as soft and moist when I ate it! The pillowy texture of the swiss roll made it incredibly difficult to quite eating and I loved how the chocolate mousse swirls completed the red velvet cake. However, those with a sweet tooth might find it a tad too sweet after a while!
Pandan Swiss Roll with Coconut Cream
This was my favourite out of the two! The fragrant coconut cream, coupled with the moist Pandan cake was a joy to savour! The size of the cakes are also perfect for gift giving during this festive season.
