Pacific Plaza's Beauty Trail - Christine Nail Salon, Quintessential, True Yoga
For those who might not be familiar with Pacific Plaza, the shopping mall is strategically situated in the hearts of Orchard Road - one which would be hard to miss with its vintage grandeur. Around a week back, I was privileged to embark on a beauty trail at Pacific Plaza and we definitely pampered ourselves silly with the beauty services and feasted our eyes on some of the gorgeous merchandises that the mall offered. We were brought to 3 of the tenants housed in Pacific Plaza - Christie Nail Salon, Quintessential and True Yoga which I would be elaborating further below!
1st Stop: Christine Nail Salon
Christine Nail Salon offers a cosy environment for those who are looking at getting their nails done in a comfortable and plush setting.
The nail salon offers a wide variety of nail polish options - with close to 200 colours of Angel Pro Gel - the newest generation of nail technology from Korea (which contains NONE of the harming chemicals like formaldehyde, toluene or DBP which causes your nails to turn frail or yellow) to even Chanel Nail Polishes for you to take your pick. For those who love a set of sparkling nails, you'll also be heartened to know that they carry over 300 different colours and glitters of Brite Gel!
The salon also provides an array of charms and Swarovski crystals for you to choose from! As well as nail art designs by their professionally trained manicurists.
Other than manicure and pedicure services, Christine Nail Salon also provides their customers with spa services, which use Cuccio Naturale - a luxurious US-based nail, hand and foot care line which is infused with natural botanical and the finest fruit extracts. Simply said, once you step into Christie Nail Salon, you're in for a serious pampering treat!
Personally, the manicure session at Christine Nail Salon was one of the better ones I've been to. I didn't have any nail designs in mind before the session, so the manicurist went ahead and did whatever she thought was the most suitable for my set of nails. She did, though, test the colours on my nails before she sealed them in so as to make sure that I was okay with them! My set of nails was Christmas-inspired and they were so gorgeous! Check out the snowflakes as well as the Swavoraski crystals!

Quintessential is a multi-label handbag and jewellery store that has introduced new labels and looks into the market since its inception 12 years ago. Quintessential carries two in-house brands - Stoned by Q (SBQ) and Clutch Me by Q (CMQ).
Clutch Me by Q (CMQ) features designer-looking, competitively priced bags. The collection features contemporary designs like foldover clutches, envelopes, wristlets and pouches and aims to deliver both form and function in each and every design. Stoned by Q (SBQ) was soft-launched into the market in November 2013. It is the first in-house jewellery brand created by Quintessential, a home-grown multi-brand handbag and accessories store. 3rd Stop: True Yoga
As many might know, True Group is one of Asia's largest fitness and wellness groups. The True Yoga outlet at Pacific Plaza is Singapore's largest yoga centre that spans a floor area of 13,000 square feet! It boasts 4 Yoga studios and a VIP Black Card Lounge equipped with luxurious massage chairs for members to relax in.
The True Yoga centre at Pacific Plaza offers over 35 types of Yoga, Hot Yoga, Dance and Pilates classes with over 400 classes a week, taught by Yoga Masters from India.
Thanks to True Yoga, I had the privilege of experiencing my first ever Pilates lesson. Prior to this, I had no inkling of what Pilates was about, or what was expected of the class. Thankfully, the Pilates instructor was very patient towards his students and kept walking around the class to correct our moves which I felt was really essential for a beginner Pilates learner like myself. Another good thing about him is that he constantly encourages his students to achieve the poses, but is not too pushy as to whether they can actually do it or not - something I was REALLY thankful for too because I wasn't very "cooperative" in a sense thanks to my inflexible limbs. But all in all, I felt that it was a rather interesting experience, and I would definitely try it again if I have the chance to!
The Pilates class I attended that day focused on strengthening the core shoulder muscles and also covered basic Pilates exercises. For a beginner like myself, I felt that the class was still quite manageable and easy to follow, just that my horrible stamina got the better of me. Though the lesson only lasted for an hour, I felt it really did train and tone up my arm muscles!
For the Pilates experts who are reading this, I'm sure that you guys would spot quite a number of errors that I committed. I'm sorry, but I really tried hahaha.
