Singapore Fashion Week (Zalora X FiZiWoo & Zalia)

Attended Singapore's Fashion Week weeks back with my love for the Zalora x FiZiWoo and Zalia show, and I was so enchanted by all the beautiful evening gowns showcased that night! 

The Zalia collection is exclusively designed in-house and is catered to women who are seeking trendy, yet conservative styles. FiZiWoo's collection features "Raya and The City", which was inspired by Kuala Lumpur and its people, from the vibrant colors of its old historic places to the street style of its citizens. I wouldn't hesitate to wear any of the pieces if I was given a chance to, and it was really interesting to see how the designer combined both traditional and contemporary fashion. Definitely red carpet worthy pieces.

It's a pity that I know of people who don't know how to appreciate it though, who condemned it just because it was "Malay". I mean, the whole thing about fashion is also about embracing how people can work culture into mere pieces of clothing, isn't it?

In other thoughts, attending SGFW also marked our first event together, and I was happy to be able to bring WJ along as my date. Also met other IGers and Clozetters during the event, which was another highlight of the evening. :)
