Prawning at ORTO
Decided to treat ourselves to a little freshwater prawning to celebrate FK's birthday. The prawning rates at ORTO are pretty steep, and the returns for us weren't exactly very worthwhile. We paid $36 for 3 hours worth of prawning, and caught around 14 prawns and one tiny lobster. I'm not too sure if it was the lack of skills or prawns, but the staff at ORTO only started adding more prawns into the pond at our last hour (Around 9pm). I would highly recommend you to go on weekdays since I reckon it would be less crowded, and more prawns vs humans ratio.
The rod charges are priced at $20 for 1 hour, $30 for 2 hours and $36 for 3 hours. Chicken heart baits are provided for free, but you can top up an additional $2 for worms! You can also grill your catches on their electric stove after your prawning session!
There're lots of other activities here at Orto, including fishing, long Kang fishing paintball etc and even a bar to chill at. You might want to visit their website here:
