Food Panda x Maki-san
Thanks to the people at Foodpanda.sg and Makisan, I had the chance of creating a personalized maki (on my own) as well as learn to tricks of forming a Panda looking maki!
Maki-san has recently collaborated with Foodpanda.sg, which strives to deliver food to you in the most convenient way!
As adapted from their website:
Foodpanda has online menus from the staggering selection of delivery restaurants around you. Simply enter your post code and search for cuisine type, restaurants or even price range. The restaurant index also includes address and delivery hours. No online food delivery is too difficult for Foodpanda! Food delivery service has never been made easier!
We were each given an instruction sheet, a bowl of white and brown rice plus 5 sticks of salmon for the respective Panda features.
The chef at Maki-san was also kind enough to do a live demonstration before we got started with it! Thank God for that man, really. I think this was the main reason why my Panda maki even stayed in shape.
Look at all these cute rolls!
Trying to "perfect" my own Panda maki. I think I was really struggling quite a bit, especially since the Japanese rice kept sticking to my gloves and I was making a mess of my area. I was so glad that I was seated alone, lest I become a burden to anyone beside me hahahaha.
And yayyyyyyyyy. They look a little spastic but it was the effort that counts!!
Then, we got to step into the Maki-san kitchen to curate our very own makis! It felt so different so be "behind the scenes".
The chef patiently coaching us again!
And here you have my very own Maki!
I added Salmon, Egg, Crabmeat, Avocado, Cucumbers and lots and lots of Fish Roe into mine and topped it off with a Garlic sauce. I didn't want to stack up to many ingredients, and decided to keep it as simple as possible!
Thank you Maki San and Foodpanda.sg for the invite once again!
