Morganfield's Christmas Platter

I was invited to Morganfield's Christmas Media Tasting a week back thanks to Juliana from Hash Inc and Morganfield's Singapore!

They've some really interesting items on their Christmas menu, and I'm really excited to share some of the dishes with you because they were unbelievably delicious! Morganfield's Singapore is located at both Suntec City and The Star Vista, and you can find these addresses at the end of my post.

Also, starting 15th Nov to 28th December, Morganfield's will be delivering its Christmas take home menu to anywhere on the island! Orders will have to be made 5 days in advance, which can be done through phone of online. A 10% early bird discount will be offered to all orders confirmed by 30th November 2014.

An additional $25 is chargeable for delivery per location.

Here were some of the items that we tried!

Christmas Red Cooler - $8.90++

(A fruity mix of lemon, watermelon and cranberry juice. Garnished with blackberries)

White Christmas Sangria - $16.90++

(A refreshing mix of white wine, peach puree, diced green apples and oranges)

Beer Candied Bacon - $8.90++

Beer and bacon, the perfect combination made with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar Beer. What can be better with beer than beer bacon? This has been one of my favorite dishes ever since I visited Morganfield's a few months back!

Basketful of Pork - $15.90++

A basketful of Beer Candied Bacon, Pop Corn Pork and Sliced Pork Bratwurst. Perfect sharing basket of porky bites. Couldn't stop munching on the Pork bites because they were simply too addictive.

Christmas Hazelnut Roast Chicken - $28.90++

Whole spring chicken (800-900g) marinated with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar and served with Traditional Chestnut Stuffing. I wasn't a fan of this dish because I felt that it was a tad bland for my liking.

Bourbon Marmalade Glazed Leg of Ham - $168.90+

A WHOLE leg of ham about 4-5kg with Bourbon Marmalade Glaze. Don't be surprised by its pricing because it's meant to be shared among 12 persons or more! It was another of my favorite dishes. I loved how the ham was so tender and juicy. Oh and not to forget the amazing glaze which definitely left me wanting more!

This year, Morganfield's is also introducing the special Christmas edition Sticky Bones that's combined with a Morgan's Christmas Feast Sharing Platter. The platter will feature Christmas favorites such as the Smoked Turkey Leg and Bourbon Marmalade Glazed Ham!

Morgan's Christmas Feast (For 4-5 persons) - $149.90++

Includes:

- Grilled Sausage Platter (4 sausages)

- Christmas Cranberry Sticky Bones (Half Slab)

- Christmas Hazelnut Sticky Bones (Half Slab)

- Bourbon Marmalade Glazed Ham Slices

- Smoked Turkey Legs

- Sides (Roasted Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Caramelized Onions, Green Beans, Corn Bread)

* For every purchase of a Christmas Feast Platter, you can also top up a Cranberry 'n' Peach Crumble at only $9.90. And trust me, you would want to ;)

Cranberry 'n' Peach Crumble - $13.90++

Stewed cranberries and peaches topped with a butter sugar crumble and served with Vanilla ice-cream. I loved how the crisps balanced out with the Vanilla ice-cream, and it was the perfect combination of hot and cold in a dish.

The owner was kind enough to offer us the Rogue Santa's Private Reserve Ale (As seen in the middle) and it was $35.90++ for a bottle of 650ml.

Definitely the perfect pairing with the BBQ ribs! My personal favorites were also the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar Beer as well as the Chainbreaker White, IPA.
Morganfield's offers a wide range of American craft beers which we can rarely find in Singapore!

For Christmas, they're also offering the Santa's Big Mug which is 1 litre of American Craft Beer at $25.90++

Ended off the night with a great company :) It was definitely the perfect end to Week 13 which also marked the last week of school.

1) Kids Eat for Free

(Available on Sat, Suns and PH. Kids below 8 years old or 120cm get to enjoy a free meal for every adult's main meal. A maximum of two kid's meal can be redeemed per table. Not valid with other promotions or discounts)

2) Top Value Set Lunch from $9.90++

(Available for dine on from Mon - Fridays (exluding PH), 11am - 3pm. 17 mains to choose from and each main comes with a free starter of Soup of the Day or House Salad and a soft drink or hot coffee/tea. Not valid with other promotions of discounts)

3) Happy Hour

(Serving pints of happiness from 11am-8pm, Mon to Sat and all day on Sunday. Happy Hour Carlsberg Draught Beer can be purchased at $10 per pint and $9 per glass of Happy Hour House Wine or Spirits. Not valid with other promotions of discounts)
