Blessed 21st Birthday

Yoo hooooo.

So, I had my 21st birthday party about a week ago and I finally found time to sit down and blog about it. The party was no doubt a blast, and I'm thankful for every single one who helped out in each and every way. I started panicking about the party a month ago, because I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to execute the whole thing out due to the time constraint. I had friends telling me that a month would be sufficient, but I was worrying (being a natural worry-wart myself) details, decor, cake, food and all the teeny weeny non-existent details.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my birthday but I wanted it to be good and my party venue to look "full" with decor. (Cos anal me wants every single part of the room to be filled up)
 I DIYed most of my decorations with Claudia and I was so glad that they managed to turn out looking really pretty in the photos. :')

Here's a breakdown on what I spent on!


1) Birthday Cake from Plain Vanilla 

(10" Earl Grey Lavender cake with white daisies at the rim - $102 + $25 with delivery right to your venue within an hour of your designated time)

2) Party packs from Coffee Bean

(Around $300 for 8 boxes. Each boxes ranges from $30-$39 and has 20 pieces each)

3) Bulk of my decorations from Taobao

(Around $30)

(Which saved me quite a bit of money and time)

4) Venue @ Savannah Condo Park

($40)

5) 80 pieces of Polaroid film

($50 after discount from Qoo10)

6) Helium Balloons

($24 for 20 balloons from Az trading - beside Bugis Plus)

And not forgetting other miscellaneous items which I got from either Daiso/Ikea.

Throughout this party, I really really have got to thank Claudia because she saw me through the WHOLE process of party planning. She also did my birthday banner which turned out so beautifully and things like decision-making, stock taking to helping me put up the decorations early in the morning. OH, and being my human GPS and helping me look out for traffic throughout the way. She's my power BFF manz. Hands down. Haha and we even had to meet one day before the party to run errands and get all the details sorted out. Thank youuuuuuu

Fong Kiat, for coming early in the morning to help me out with the decorations, being Photographer number 2 and being C's minion for that day hahaha. Zhang Mi, for lending me your camera. :) Shawn, for making sure that things went well during the party and for mingling with my friends. Chew Peng and Shuang, for helping me keep things in check and for the chalkboard :) Arsyad, for getting me the balloons and being such a dear friend. Jaclyn, for the portable speakers. Carina and Bryan, for the venue if not this party would not have been possible. Bryan again, for coming down before the party to help me set up and staying back after the party to get everything down. You were an exceptionally great host :) 

My parents, for helping me shift the items to the condo and my mom for waking up early in the morning to prepare food. 

Last of all, Edwin, for being my trusty photographer for that day. Your pictures were beyond amazing, and everyone was gushing about them. You did me a huge favor for being there, and no words can really express my gratitude towards you!!! :) 

And also to everyone who came and your well wishes + gifts!! I'm sorry if I couldn't be everywhere at a time but I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves during the party :)
