This Bicycle Atelier combines both a workshop and cafe together to bring you a dining experience that is truly extraordinary. Wheeler's Yard provides a wide range of urban bicycles for sale as well as accessories which also makes up most of their display in the cafe. Here, you can enjoy a wide variety of mains as well as all day breakfasts to keep you fueled throughout the day.

Pink Ginger Juice - $4.50

We were pretty wary of this because we were quite uncertain on how ginger would turn out,  but surprisingly, it tasted pretty refreshing and was not too overpowering!

Cranberry and Hibiscus Juice - $4.50

A perfect thirst quencher if you are craving for something sweet and light!

Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs - $16.90
(Served on Toast, with garden salad)

Well, being a big fan of smoked salmon, I could not bring myself to forgo this dish! However, $16.90 was a little pricey for this. The hollandiase sauce complemented the 3 pieces of smoked salmon. The scrambled eggs, on the other hand, were just ordinary. I almost couldn't finish this because I was a little sick of it after a while.

Big Breakfast - $16.90
(Served with toast, two white eggs, bacon, hashbrown, chicken sausage and garden salad)
Choice of Eggs: Sunny side-up or Scrambled
Choice of Toast: White or Wholemeal)

I wasn't very amazed with the usage of normal sliced bread (which was not toasted) instead of brioche or sourdough! The sausages were tasty, and the bacon was cooked well - the bacon served here are  savory btw!

Beef Yard Burger - $14.90
(Served with a juicy beef patty, lettuce, tomato and caramelized onions packed in a toasted sesame bun)

Their beef patties are made from scratch! Indeed, it was juicy and flavorful but definitely not the best I have had so far. Even though $14.90 is a decent price for a burger, I would probably skip this the next time I visit!

Service:
We were given a buzzer which would indicate when our order was ready to be collected. The staff were friendly and helped with a bit with our decision making because there were just too many choices to choose from! It's mostly self-service in this cafe, and we also had to get the drinks and cutlery ourselves.

Atmosphere:
I loved how they combined both the bicycle artlier and cafe together. Wheeler's Yard is really spacious, with plenty of seats both in the air-conditioned and non air-conditioned area. This place would be great for large group gatherings, just that it might be a little inaccessible for those who do not drive! We had to cab in and out when we went.

I drafted this post about 2 weeks ago but only got the chance to publish it now all thanks to my busy schedule. Met W and JH around a month ago for lunch, and it was really great seeing them because the last time we saw one another was many months ago? It's always great to meet up with old friends, because certain feelings of familiarity will never fade. :)

And of course, it was mandatory to spam pictures with the famous Wheeler's Yard signage!

Some things never change :')

I hope you found this post useful! :)
I've quite a bit of reviews coming up, so do stay tuned!

  1. Great review, thanks for sharing. Makes me want to visit the place too. There is this map called CafeSG that lets you find all the local cafes in Singapore! Super useful for cafe hopping and to discover new cafes near home and workplace.
