What they're famous for:

Food: 8/10

We had:
Truffle Fries - $14
As usual, truffles fries need no introduction. The fries here are known to be good and it certainly did not disappoint! It came in a bucket, and the portion was really huge. The truffle taste was distinct and it was served with chunky fries - my favorite. One of the better ones I've tasted thus far which was comparable to that of Little Diner & Habitat Coffee. :)
Eggs Benedict - $20
(Poached egg, hollandaise sauce, eged cheddar, onion, bacon)
I went searching for Symmetry's review before I visited the cafe and among the reviews I've read, ALL of them seemed to have ordered their Egg's Benedict and were raving about it. Being an eggs benny fan, I knew I had to order it for myself to try.
Oh and trust me, those reviews were pretty legit. This was the first time I had such perfectly poached eggs! A poke with your fork would sent the york (IT RHYMES) trickling down the muffin and soaking it in with the hollandaise goodness which was the perfect combination. The muffins were more of garlic toasts which added extra flavor to this dish. Even the thought of it makes me craving for it now. Definitely a triple thumbs up from me!
Big Breakfast - $24
(2 eggs of your choice, maple glazed bacon, chicken cheese sausage, hash potato, mushroom, tomato, mesclun, jam & toast)
Not your usual big breakfast! Notice the purple cube at the right side? It's GRAPE BUTTER!
Oh surprise surprise.
And yes, it complemented the toast really well!! It had a hint of grape flavor and was not too sweet nor buttery. The cheese sausage was perfection, and so were the scrambled eggs. Not the usual runny ones you get which made it worth trying. Everything on this platter was just divine, and a total worth of the $24 paid.
Service:
Service was prompt, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive with our orders. :)
Ambiance:
Hipster's the word! The cafe had a calming nature to it with it's dim lighting and cluttered environment. I loved the songs that were blasting (Lifehouse... etc) and I always believed that good songs are one of the key factors to a right ambiance. Great for a lazy afternoon or a date. I wouldn't recommend large crowds though because the cafe was rather small.
Hope you found this useful. :)
