Food Review: Kith Cafe / Pre-20th.
HELLO HELLO HELLO.I wanted to blog about my birthday, and realized that the posts this year would be coming in the form of food reviews instead, since I'll been visiting quite a few interesting places. So, to not over-whelm the readers, I shall post them up separately.
First up!
Address:
Park Mall, 9 Penang Road
#01-01E
What they're famous for:
Sandwiches and All-Day breakfast till 3pm
Atmosphere: 6/10
Food: 7/10
Price: 8/10
Service: 7/10
We had:
Lychee and Grapefruit Cooler - $8.50
The lychee taste was really over-whelming in this one, so order this only when you're a fan of the fruit! It came with lychee and grapefruit slices too. Nothing much to rave about, just that it wouldn't exactly be worth it to pay $8.50 for this.
Lemon, Lime and Mint Cooler - $8.50
Major disappointment for this one. I felt like I was drinking sparkling water throughout and I couldn't even taste the hint of lemon or lime at all. Not something I would order in the future.
Truffle Fries - $9
This was pretty good! The truffle was not too over-powering and I really loved the dip on the side. It was sour cream, if I'm not wrong. This came with grated parmesan cheese which I thought they could have been more generous with. The fries were not too oily, just to my liking. :)
Beef Lasagne - $14
Didn't get to try this dish, but A told me that it tasted pretty normal, so nothing much to rave about. The only plus point was that it was pretty filling for a guy like him even though the portion was a little small. There're quite a number of pasta dishes on the menu, so I would suggest that you give the others a try instead! :)
Bacon Sandwich - $12
(2 Poached Eggs, Avocado, Tomato, Japanese Mayo, Bacon, Focaccia, Nacho Chips on the side)
Okay, for a $12 sandwich, the portion was pretty huge. I really loved the combination of Japanese Mayo and Avocados which tasted really, really good! The bacon was not too salty as well, so it was definitely to my liking! The poached eggs were perfect and the combination altogether was divine. Definitely a thumbs up from me. :)
Service:
I didn't exactly like how they kept inquiring if we were ready to order because it made me feel like they were impatient, rather than friendly. But that aside, the service was prompt and the food was served quickly. Drinks were also refilled pretty regularly.
Atmosphere:
Great great great place for dates and small, quiet group gatherings. Though I would say that if you're an avid instagrammer like me and wanna take good shots of the food, you should arrive before the sun sets as the place might get pretty dark. I loved how they had pretty candles on the table too. :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha and since its my birthday, give me some face k.
Let me start off with my ootd first.
A," Eh eh lets try pouting."
Me," Huh? "
A," Some call it the duck face."
HAHAHA. It took us a couple of shots before we got to this because we couldn't stop laughing.
And mandatory shots before food!
As if we weren't full enough from our dinner, headed over to Ion for some TWG macaroons after that
(Little did I know that I have been spoiling my own birthday surprise ever since Five&Dime and now, with TWG Macaroons. Haha you'll know why when I blog about my birthday celeb)
Headed back after that because this sotongz had to rush back to camp for some event the next day.
It's through friends like him that I come to realize how immensely blessed I am. Even for A, who has been tolerating and accepting my everything since J1 without a qualm. I'm really sorry if I've taken you for granted in any way. I guess you can call him my rock, always being there for me to fall on whenever things got difficult in life, and always there to lend me a listening ear. We've brought one another through quite a number of things, regardless of the good and bad and I'm glad that our friendship has stayed this strong ever since we've met in SR. :)
You da best \m/
And this marks the end of my pre 20th entry.
Till then! :)
