Food Review: Marmalade Toast
Address:
02-11 Ngee Ann City
391 Orchard Road
(Its behind Chloe if I'm not wrong, gotta get out of a glass door into this office lobby looking place, get out of it again and turn left. Quite a secluded place)
What they're famous for:
Wraps and Dessert.
Atmosphere: 6/10
Food: 8/10
Price: 8/10
Service: 7/10
What we had:
Joy Smoothie (Mango, banana, natural yogurt, fresh milk and honey) - $6
Very Berri Smoothie (Strawberries, blueberries, natural yogurt, fresh milk and honey) - $6
We both really liked Joy as it tasted really flavorful and creamy. Perfect thirst quencher I must say.
Very Berri, on the other hand, was too bland for our liking. It came out a little too watery and we couldn't really taste the berries nor its sweetness. Not something I would order in the future.
Lemon Meringue Sponge Cake - $6
A MUST TRY. First off, it looks too funky for a cake and therefore, who could resist?! It had the perfect blend of sweetness and sourness, plus the cake was moist enough. I initially thought that the meringue would be too sweet for my liking, but it went perfectly with the sponge cake. (LOVELOVELOVE)
Masala Chicken Wrap - $9
(Indian Spiced Chicken with fresh mangoes, romaine lettuce and mint)
Not a fan of fruits and meat but I love Indian spices, so I couldn't resist ordering this dish. To my surprise, these 2 went really, really well together. Plus I loved the crunchy mint leaf at the end of my wrap so that was a major plus point. Definitely would order this again.
Smoked Turkey Wrap - $9
(Cornbread stuffing, cranberry relish, tomato and rockets on ciabatta)
Didn't try this dish but heard that it was pretty good from Wenda. Besides, cranberry and turkey. What can go wrong?
It was mostly self-service as we had to get the cutlery by ourselves. Other than that, the wraps were served to us and the service staff were pretty friendly. :)
Atmosphere:
The place was rather small, and not exactly very cosy. Great for a quick meal or just a really small group gathering. I wouldn't suggest this place for dates. The food made up for the atmosphere though. :)

Food review aside, that was also the day I met up with Wenda after forever. :) Decided to make good use of the free museum entry to explore NMS. Haven't been there since last year, though not much has changed. It was a really great catch-up with her though, especially over all the good food we had hehe.

I actually did up this entry before the review on FFT but realized that I haven't published this. Eeeps, I think my memory is starting to fail me day by day. The holiday does no good to me. It only makes me lose track of days and the amount of food I've consumed ever since the start of the holiday.
One more thing I've learned:
If you have nothing, you would have nothing to lose.
Till thennnnnnnnn. :)
