TOBY'S ESTATE

Atmosphere

As seen from the pictures above, Toby Estate has a pretty rustic feel to it. The humongous coffee machine was the highlight of the restaurant, and many of us couldn't resist snapping pictures of it. At the little corner of the restaurant,  tea leaves are also sold and smell samples are displayed for customers to have a good knowledge of the tea leaves they're purchasing.

Food

Okay, overall speaking, the breakfast really lived up to our expectations. The scrambled eggs were cooked to the right texture and it wasn't too runny or creamy. However, I found the taste of the sauteed mushroom a tad too strong for me. Other than that, bacon and toast wise, it was cooked to perfection. Sad part's that the portions used to be much bigger with 2 toasts instead of one and they used to have more meat. But oh well, I guess times are bad now.

The Moroccan baked eggs set consists of sauteed mushroom, sausages, bacon, corned beef, kidney beans as well as 2 sunny side-ups in the pan. It is accompanied with a buttered toast for dipping. With so many ingredients inside, $18 is not expensive at all. The fusion of taste is one of a kind, and definitely a must-try when you visit Toby's Estate.

The Piccolo Latte Stella had did not disappoint as well, since Toby's Estate is also very famous for their freshly brewed coffee. According to her, you can tell whether a cup of coffee is good if you pour sugar on it and it doesn't sink. Because the foam would have been stiff enough to hold it through. And viola! The sugar didn't! Haha I don't drink coffee myself, so this piece of information wouldn't do much for me. But for the other coffee lovers out there, you could use this to keep a look out!

At Toby's Estate, drinks are served in glass bottles, which you can't get anywhere else.

Service

The other staffs weren't exactly friendly but the girl who was serving us was kind enough to keep tabs on us by passing us bottles of water whenever we were running out of it. I usually wouldn't be too anal about services, especially during the lunch hour period. But the restaurant was pretty vacant that day so I felt that they could have done better.

Company wise, it couldn't get any better. Being Instagram addicts, most of us were busy snapping pictures and flooding the newsfeed. The rest of the time was spent swooning over our breakfast sets and playing with Shawn's new S4. Hehe, and messing up his lock features with face recognition till he couldnt even access his own phone. Oh yeah and the 20 plus screenshots we took of his wall paper due to the "swipe" feature. Super cool yoz.

I'll definitely be going back to this place. So gonna try their Eggs Royale that Carina has been raving about. :B
